What about Prehistoric Creatures?

Regarding "prehistoric" animals, i.e. creatures that are presumed to predate recorded history, as a Biblical Creationist, I cannot truly ascribe to the concept. I believe the Bible clearly defines the boundaries of all history, and thus all of history is recorded. :-)

Seriously though, I believe those creatures such as dinosaurs and other extinct animals were part of God's original created kinds, spanning Days 5 and 6. This, of course, runs contrary to the generally accepted theories… Continue

When The Church Speaks

Recently, I was in service and someone defined the church as, “Those that are called out of darkness into His light.” While this is true, I believe it is only a limited part of what the true church is and its authority.

In a previous Apostolic Note, “The Real Church,” we presented the original meaning of the Greek word for church – ekklesia. Unfortunately, in the church world, we have relegated it to a religious context and miss the full impact of it’s meaning. The following is from… Continue

There is so much mysticism and confusion surrounding the crucifixion and resurrection that

we lose sight of the fact that Jesus of Nazareth was a man tried before a court of men under

laws of men, that he was convicted and executed as a… Continue

A Critique of the Dake Reference Bible's Gap Theory

Finis J. Dake clearly subscribed to the Ruin-Reconstruction theory as testified from his Annotated Reference Bible, OT pp. 51-57.

What I find interesting in his opinion of Behemoth at Jeremiah 40:15. On page 546 of his OT references, he writes, "It is not definite what animal is referred to here. A study of this passage by critics and naturalists has brought the conclusion that either the elephant or hippopotamus is meant; but there are some… Continue

Compromises of Creation

History of Gap and Day-Age Theories

In 1795, Scottish farmer and naturalist James Hutton, considered to be the founder of modern geology, published his book Theory of the Earth which suggested that the earth is continuously being formed by the rising and eroding of continents. His idea suggested that the earth was far older than the 6,000 years as suggested by Holy Scripture. The Catastrophe Theories (such as the Flood) began to look less and less as a valid understanding of… Continue

Church Is Like A Sandwich

Suppose it is lunchtime and you are starving: you enter your favorite sandwich shop and place your order for that super deluxe dagwood special. As your sandwich arrives, you immediately realize something is wrong: the first clue – you are looking down at a pile of lettuce, no apparent bread. Upon closer examination you notice the whole sandwich is structured wrong, something like this: relish on the bottom, butter, a slice of bread, cheese, another slice of bread, the meat, more butter then the… Continue

The Seven Churches in Revelation and Pre-Trib Proof Texts

As with many of the things I write, I put a lot of effort into them, and pray that anyone interested would sincerely search the Scriptural references that I include in the comparative [cf.] notes. In other words, don't believe me because I say it; study the Word of God for yourself. Also, I always try to write with an attitude of patience and love, so that our enemy cannot seek to drive a wedge between any of us who may disagree. Disagreements are normal and are often healthy for good… Continue
