Do we need to practice "foot washing" in our church?
Foot washing as we read in the Scriptures was an act of service done in humility. I believe our current foot washing services can be helpful to remind believers to be of service to others in humility. Hopefully this will lead to other acts of service (especially sacrificial service) to others.
I believe you should follow the leading of the spirit of God. In short, if he tells you to do it, then do it. Maybe I'm wrong, but I've never seen in scripture where it is a command for us to do it. I don't believe it's wrong to do it, by any stretch of the imagination. I'm just saying obey God's leading. Br McKinley is right about the usefulness of it.
