Is the Great Tribulation God's Wrath?

Many people are often confused about the End Time events, and especially as it relates to the Wrath of God. Is the Great Tribulation the Wrath of God? If it isn't, then what are all those references to His wrath about?

The wrath of God is mentioned throughout the Book of Revelation, viz. Rev. 6:16-17, 11:18, 14:10, 14:19, 15:1, 15:7, 16:1, 16:19, 19:15.

I do not view the Apokalupsis as systematically chronological from beginning to end. Rather, I personally consider… Continue

A Little about me....

My "Testimony"

Well, that has always been a bit of a challenge for me. I did not come from a "dysfuntional" family. My parents were/ are good, honest, hard working people. My mother was stay at home, cooked cleaned, etc. as well as book work for my dads bakery business. I had an uncle that had always gone to that "holy roller" church. He was a good man, but I never really talked much to him.

When I was 14 or so, I started going to a pentocostal church out of boredom. I met who… Continue

How long is the Great Tribulation, and Does It Refer to "Tribulation" or "Wrath"

FIRST POINT

The Great Tribulation is only 3.5 years.

In traditional dispensationalism, the entire final week—seven years—of Daniel 9:27 is considered to be the Great Tribulation. When studying the Bible, there are only three passages referencing great tribulation that can be found in the KJV, NKJV, ESV, RSV, ASV, etc.: Matthew 24:21, Revelation 2:22, and Revelation 7:14. (Young's Literal Translation adds Acts 7:11, but I think we can safely exclude that one from… Continue

The Proof of Being Apostolic

Previously, we have defined that apostolic means being sent as the representative of Jesus Christ to reveal His kingdom. The definition of being “sent” includes four components, the fourth being the completion or manifestation of the duty is proof of the sending. This truth was even stated by Jesus himself in John 5:36: “But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent… Continue

What Is Apostolic?

Much is being said today about “the apostolic.” There are those who believe a restoration of “the apostolic” is necessary. Various views of what apostolic means include: a succession of leadership traceable back to Peter, a particular doctrine instructed by the apostles or a particular church organizational structure with an individual in leadership, calling themselves an apostle. Many of these may contain some elements of truth or they may be man’s attempt to apply the principles of apostolic,… Continue

Creation is a Secondary Issue?

There is a viewpoint among many people that any discussion of Origins is unnecessary for the Christian Faith. Some feel the contention over Creationism is a secondary issue, not worthy of serious discussion. But is this a valid perspective to hold?

A wise minister in a discussion recently commented that the battle for the soul of man takes place within the mind: garbage in, garbage out. What we allow into our thoughts, what we entertain with our minds ultimately will become the way… Continue

The "Days" of Genesis

It is widely recognized that the Hebrew word ‏יוֹם‎ (yôwm, Strong's H3117, TWOT 852) has various meanings. As used in the KJV, yom was translated day 2,008 times, time 64 times, daily 44 times, ever 17 times,… Continue
