The De-Christianization of Great Britain
By TVC Chairman Rev. Louis P. Sheldon
April 1, 2009 – A disturbing cultural trend is emerging in Britain – one that could result in the eventual Islamization of this great ally in the war on terrorism. More than 100,000 Brits have downloaded “certificates of de-baptism” from a National Secular Society (NSS) web site. These men and women have decided to openly reject their Christian heritage. The NSS has also launched a bus poster campaign, which features a poster saying: “There’s probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life.” This rejection of one element of Christianity is just a small part of the overall decline in Christianity in Britain over the past decades.

Watching President Obama apologize last week for America's arrogance - before a French audience that owes its freedom to the sacrifices of Americans - helped convince me that he has a deep-seated antipathy toward American values and traditions. His nomination of former Yale Law School Dean Harold Koh to be the State Department's top lawyer constitutes further evidence of his disdain for American values.
This seemingly obscure position in Foggy Bottom's bureaucratic maze is one of the most important in any administration, shaping foreign policy in the courts and playing a critical role in international negotiations and treaties. Let's set aside Koh's disputed comments about the possible application of Sharia law in American jurisprudence. The pick is alarming for more fundamental reasons having to do with national sovereignty and constitutional self-governance. What is indisputable is that Koh calls himself a "transnationalist." He believes U.S. courts "must look beyond national interest to the mutual interests of all nations in a smoothly functioning international legal regime. ..." He thinks the courts have "a central role to play in domesticating international law into U.S. law" and should "use their interpretive powers to promote the development of a global legal system."
Koh's "transnationalism" stands in contrast to good, old-fashioned notions of national sovereignty, in which our Constitution is the highest law of the land. In the traditional view, controversial matters, whatever they may be, are subject to democratic debate here. They should be resolved by the American people and their representatives, not "internationalized." What Holland or Belgium or Kenya or any other nation or coalition of nations thinks has no bearing on our exercise of executive, legislative, or judicial power. Koh disagrees. He would decide such matters based on the views of other countries or transnational organizations - or, rather, those entities' elites.
Here are a few paragraphs from an article by Roger Hedgecock (whom I don't know) that I read on WND today. It relates how certain conservative groups are on the record as needing to be "watched" (my words). It's only a matter of time before conservative Christians are on such a list as this by name.
///On Feb. 20, 2009, Missouri's Department of Public Safety issued a report to all law enforcement in the state entitled "Missouri Information Analysis Center Strategic Report: The Modern Militia Movement."
The report linked people holding conservative views on immigration, abortion, the U.N., the New World Order, etc., to dangerous and violent "militias" that Missouri law enforcement were instructed to be on guard against. Conservative opinions were demonized and made the subject of law enforcement scrutiny.
The report was leaked. National and state public reaction was strong and negative, and Missouri retracted the report and apologized.
This victory was short lived. The substance of the report is back, this time distributed to "federal, state, local, and tribal counterterrorism and law enforcement officials ..." by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as an "assessment" dated April 7, 2009, entitled "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment."
The assessment states it was "prepared by the Extremism and Radicalization Branch, Homeland Environment Threat Analysis Division" and "coordinated with the FBI."
It admits that "The DHS/Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) has no specific information that domestic right wing terrorists are currently planning acts of violence." Nonetheless, it states that "right wing extremists may be gaining new recruits by playing on their fears about ... the economic downturn and the election of the first African-American President ..."
...The report elaborates that ..."right wing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms and use."
So, if you disagree with Obama on amnesty for illegals or stand up for the Second Amendment, you are branded a "rightwing extremist" by the Department of Homeland Security and become the subject of scrutiny by some 850,000 local and state law enforcement personnel...///
Disagree with Obama?

The phone spying would seem pretty tempting, Donnie, for someone who wants some sort of control over someone else. And I'll bet it's only the tip of the iceberg. Another example of how the technology for ever-increasing government control is in place, all that is needed now is political will power to apply it. Is it not already happening all around us?
Here's a follow up to my previous post about the DHS (Department of Homeland Security) document. Apparently it's created quite the uproar in the blogosphere and on the airwaves--even sparking lawsuits, as could be expected.
According to the federal government, characteristics of members of the suspect group of people include those who:
* Oppose restrictions on firearms
* Oppose lax immigration
* Oppose the policies of President Obama regarding immigration, citizenship and the expansion of social programs
* Oppose continuation of free trade agreements
* Oppose same-sex marriage
* Has paranoia of foreign regimes
* Fear Communist regimes
* Oppose one world government
* Bemoan the decline of U.S. stature in the world
* Is upset with the loss of U.S. manufacturing jobs to China and India
I think with very few exceptions, according to this, I should be considered an extremist of the most dangerous kind! (LOL) And I reiterate; it is only a matter of time before something like this is put forth regarding people who insist on living by the Bible (it already does imply this).
Quote – Nathan:…it is only a matter of time before something like this is put forth regarding people who insist on living by the Bible (it already does imply this).
Nathan, It seems to me it’s only a matter of changing targets. This just recently happened in Missouri, which caused a BIG public response. I personally think it was just a “feeler” to take the pulse of the American public to see if they were sufficiently sedated enough to go ahead and target and ratchet them down.
The chief of the Missouri highway patrol is blasting a report issued by the Missouri Information Analysis Center that linked conservative groups to domestic terrorism, assuring that such reports no longer will be issued.
The report warned law enforcement agencies to watch for suspicious individuals who may have bumper stickers for third-party political candidates such as Ron Paul, Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin.
It further warned law enforcement to watch out for individuals with "radical" ideologies based on Christian views, such as opposing illegal immigration, abortion and federal taxes.
Chief James Keathley of the Missouri State Patrol issued a statement that the release of the report, which outraged conservatives nationwide, prompted him to "take a hard look" at the procedures through which the report was released by the MIAC.

Here is another article that succinctly and concisely states a few of the brazen moves by the U.S. executive branch recently. I recommend this article for its briefness and for its summary of how the United States of America is on the brink of becoming (is becoming) a place vastly different from what we have known, and at an astonishing rate. The report is alarmingly accurate.
Preachers arrested may be nothing new, but notice how this is happening with a clear link to the homosexual movement. The scriptures are very clear on this.
This may not be in America yet, but one day soon it may. The law proposals are there and ready to be enacted. The fact that these kind of things are happening in the way they are is clear evidence of the last days.
Just how bad is it going to get? Pharaoh dumped live babies in the Nile. The government slaughtered babies in Jesus’ Day. The good ol’ USA is now murdering babies in the name of freedom of choice. Now, all new mothers may be screened by means of a list of subjective questions that will determine if each mother is mentally fit to take their newborn home from the hospital. Just imagine being told that the only way you can take your child home is if you or your spouse goes into treatment or on anti-depressants which we know causes a host of dangerous side effects. The Mothers Act has already passed the House of Representatives (?). (They're are not representing me on this, and many other matters.) See this link:
Obama Nominee (Harold Hongju Koh, the Dean of Yale Law School, as the Legal Adviser for the State Department) is linked to Sohn, the influential architect of UNCLOS (UN Covention on the Law of the Sea) and important contributing founder of the UN, championing One World Government until his death in 2006. Koh will push for Sohn's agenda, regarded as "an unusually strong world government… " This is put forth in his (Sohn's) book, World Peace Through World Law.
