The Glorious Church

I believe we will yet see a true revival for the Church. Note what Paul taught the Ephesians.

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:   Ephesians 4:11-13

We are to come to the fullness of Christ's stature. That is the same size as him. Coming to a perfect man. Jesus told those same Ephesians what the Church he comes for will be like.

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.  Ephesians 5:25-27

Only a GLORIOUS CHURCH would be worthy of Jesus, the altogether glorious one! He wont stop his work on her until she is like him. Why should he? He has been very patient over the centuries. Waiting on the saints.

7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.  James 5:7

Looks like he is waiting for us! Many times I hear we are supposed to wait on the Lord. In context that is certainly true. In other context such as this it looks like we are supposed to be doing something to prepare ourselves.

Do you believe he will wait until he has a worthy bride to return? Any idea how long that may take?

God certainly has the ministry in place to do the job when we enter the end time in earnest. The two witnesses will have what seems to be the most dramatic ministry since Christ. Then there will be the end time firstfruits known as the "manchild". The forerunners birthed out of the Church in general. They will feed the woman "church" in the wilderness.

Not only that but Rev. 14 shows us a vision of a powerful angel sent to preach the gospel. Gods people will not be helpless in the great tribulation. It will be a time where our faith must grow. Either we will put on the whole armor of God or we will fall.

We normally think how the Church will be suffering in the great tribulation. That of course is true. Sometimes we lose focus of this. As the Church is suffering at the hands of the beast and his system, his own followers will also be suffering. God will be simultaneously vexing his enemies!

Seven seals, seven trumpets, seven vials filled with his indignation against the nations. If we keep this in perspective it is easy to see that the end time trib can be something that will magnify our faith. We will know that it is Jesus who is behind the things happening to the people of the world.

The two witnesses will be bringing all kinds of plagues and judgments. Those who are alive at that time will see the anointing of the Spirit in greater measure than any time in history. Surely it will be a wake up call for many! A sign that Christ is soon coming looking for a people without spot, wrinkle, or blemish!

So revival is certain before the rapture. This does not contradict the fact that many will indeed fall away. The scriptures teach it both ways.
